21st Session of the Regional Organization for the Conservation of the Environment of the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden

Saudi Minister of Environment Holds Bilateral Meetings with Counterparts from Jordan and Egypt

His Excellency the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Fadli, held bilateral meetings with ministers and officials in the environmental sector on the sidelines of the 21st Ministerial Council session of the Regional Organization for the Conservation of the Environment of the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden (PERSGA). The session was hosted by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the city of Aqaba.

Minister Al-Fadli met with His Excellency Dr. Muawiya Al-Radaydah, Minister of Environment of Jordan, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in shared environmental fields. Additionally, he held discussions with Her Excellency Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment of Egypt, on areas of collaboration between the two countries, particularly in environmental conservation and strengthening partnerships to protect environmental resources, especially marine ecosystems.

During the session, Saudi Arabia signed the Regional Cooperation Protocol on Fisheries Management and Aquaculture in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, reinforcing joint efforts with regional countries to address challenges and issues related to marine environment conservation and resource sustainability.
