United Nations Honors Secretary-General of “Reef Saudi” with First-Class Medal of Honor for Sustainable Development
The Secretary-General of the Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program “Reef Saudi,” Eng. Ghassan bin Mohammed Bakri, has been awarded the First-Class Medal of Honor for Sustainable Development by the United Nations in recognition of his leadership in achieving the program’s objectives and strengthening its developmental impact in the rural sector.
This international recognition highlights his supervision of initiatives aimed at empowering small-scale agricultural producers, enhancing rural productivity, and developing agricultural value chains—thereby improving rural products’ access to local markets and reinforcing the sustainability of agricultural activities.
The award also reflects the program’s efforts to strengthen international partnerships, exchange expertise in sustainable agriculture, and advance food security initiatives, contributing to improved agricultural production systems and more efficient resource utilization.
