“Reef Saudi Arabia” supports rainfed crop projects with modern agricultural equipment to boost production efficiency by 90%

The Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program “Reef Saudi Arabia” has provided qualitative support to rainfed crop projects by enabling access to and use of modern solutions, equipment, and technologies that serve agricultural and productive activities for farmers across various regions. This support was delivered through the supply and distribution of machinery, equipment, and operational tools suited to site conditions and beneficiaries’ needs, in line with approved technical specifications and quality and safety standards. This contributes to increasing production efficiency and reducing costs, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The official spokesperson of “Reef Saudi Arabia,” Majed Al-Buraikan, explained that the project scope includes training and knowledge transfer to beneficiaries on safe operation and optimal use, in addition to providing technical guidance and advisory support for a defined period. This ensures maximum benefit, reduces breakdowns and waste, and includes impact follow-up and performance measurement, such as increasing productivity, lowering operating costs, and improving production efficiency.
He added that the rainfed crop equipment supply project aims to enhance operational efficiency and productivity, reduce effort, costs, and losses, strengthen beneficiaries’ readiness and operational sustainability, and improve natural resource management. This contributes to sustainability, supports local value chains, and enhances reliability. The initiative aligns with the program’s strategy to empower beneficiaries, improve practices, raise production efficiency, and maximize economic and social impact. It also supports local production, improves spending efficiency and governance, enhances implementation and monitoring quality, strengthens food security, and optimizes the use of local resources and capabilities, in line with Vision 2030 objectives.
Al-Buraikan further noted that the project included the distribution of 729 devices, comprising 200 plowing machines and equipment and 529 machinery attachments, covering the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Al-Baha, Asir, and Jazan.
