Sultanate of Oman: Ministry of Agricultural Wealth and the Agricultural Association Discuss Empowering Omani Youth in Agricultural Marketing

The Ministry of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources and the Omani Agricultural Association held a meeting  to discuss a number of issues and challenges facing the agricultural sector in the Sultanate of Oman, within the framework of enhancing cooperation and integration between the two sides.The meeting addressed the importance of empowering Omani youth in the field of agricultural marketing and explored the enablers that would encourage them to engage in this field. It also emphasized the need to open external markets for Omani products and overcome the obstacles hindering their access.
His Excellency Dr. Saud bin Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources, affirmed the ministry’s commitment to holding regular meetings that contribute to strengthening institutional partnership and enhancing effective relations between the two parties. He noted the ministry’s readiness to listen to the association’s proposals, given its pivotal role in supporting agricultural production, strengthening the food security system, and contributing to the development of the agricultural development sector.His Excellency stated that the ministry will be the main supporter of the association in addressing the challenges facing the sector, in a way that contributes to achieving sustainability and enhancing productivity.
The meeting also reviewed the أبرز achievements related to the Tenth Five-Year Plan in areas connected to the mandate of the Omani Agricultural Association.
