The “Mustaqbal Misr”\u00a0 (Egypt\u2019s Future) project is strategically located within the expansive “New Delta” development area, along the Rod El Farag\u2013El Dabaa axis. It lies in proximity to key transport hubs, including Sphinx and Burj Al Arab airports, as well as Dekheila and Alexandria ports\u2014facilitating the efficient delivery of production inputs and distribution of products. These logistical advantages make the project a highly attractive agricultural investment destination.<\/p>\n

Project Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n

The initiative aims to stimulate development along Egypt\u2019s northwestern coast by establishing integrated urban and agricultural communities governed by a modern administrative framework. A key goal is the creation of industrial zones that support the entire agricultural value chain\u2014from advanced crop cultivation and harvesting to post-harvest processing, including sorting, packaging, and manufacturing.<\/p>\n

“Mustaqbal Misr” is expected to generate hundreds of thousands of job opportunities, significantly contributing to employment in the region.<\/p>\n

The project also seeks to narrow the domestic agricultural supply gap by offering high-quality produce at competitive prices for local consumption while enabling the export of surplus products. Spanning 500,000 acres in total, the first phase has already reclaimed 200,000 acres, with the remaining 300,000 acres under ongoing development. Water for irrigation is sourced from newly constructed agricultural wastewater treatment plants.<\/p>\n

Infrastructure Development<\/strong><\/p>\n

Key infrastructure components of the project include:<\/p>\n

Construction of 500 km of internal roads and the drilling of underground water wells.<\/p>\n

Establishment of two power plants with a combined capacity of 350 megawatts, along with a 200 km internal electricity network.<\/p>\n

Development of storage facilities for agricultural inputs, as well as administrative and residential buildings to support workers and management.<\/p>\n
