By screening entire genomes to identify specific genes that are responsible for key traits \u2013 such as those defining wheat\u2019s viability, nutritional content and tolerance to extreme weather conditions \u2013 Syngenta has developed hybrid technology for wheat and is finetuning the breeding process to achieve commercial scalability. Unlocking hybrid potential in wheat is a breakthrough more than 15 years in the making.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-justify\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Today, Syngenta announced that its X-Terra<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0hybrid wheat has received registration approval for use in France.
